Terms & Conditions

These terms are the agreement between your family and V-MAT when you use v-mat.us, take a free class, or join a program. We have kept them short and plain. Please read them with our Privacy Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy.

1. Who we are

v-mat.us is run by V-MAT Academy, owned and run by Saji P R (Mr. Saji Raghav) as a sole proprietor in Bangalore, India ("V-MAT", "we", "us").

2. Family accounts

• V-MAT is for children aged 5 to 16. A parent or guardian (18 or over) opens the family account, adds the children and accepts these terms for them.
• Keep your password private. Each child's lessons can be open on the number of devices your plan allows; opening them on one more device signs out the oldest one.
• An account is for one family. Sharing it with another family is not allowed and the account may be paused if it happens.
• Please give us true details, and tell us if they change.

3. What you get

• Free: one free live demo class, the free lessons and games, the placement test and the Speed Challenge.
• Platform only: the V-MAT lessons, games, worksheets, daily checks, evaluations and progress reports for the program and level you choose.
• Live classes + Platform: everything above, plus regular live online classes in a small group (on Zoom) with a V-MAT teacher.
• The modules of a level open one after another, a new one about every 30 days, and earlier modules stay open. A level bought in full opens as we describe on the course page.
• Each level is bought separately. The final evaluation advises whether your child is ready for the next level; the next level opens when you join it.

4. Prices and payment

• Prices on v-mat.us are in US dollars (USD) and are the total you pay. The price shown when you pay is the price that applies.
• You can pay for a whole level (6 months) at once, or month by month where a monthly price is shown.
• We never charge you automatically. A monthly plan is paid one month at a time, from your family page, when you decide to continue.
• Payments are taken by our payment provider, Razorpay. We never see or store card, UPI or bank details. You get a receipt by e-mail.
• Discounts: either the Family & Friends discount (for a second child onwards) or one coupon — not both at once.
• If we ever change a price, it applies only to new payments, never to a period you have already paid for.

5. Live classes

• Live classes are for children on a Live classes + Platform plan. Times are shown in your own time zone.
• If we have to cancel a class, we move it to another time or give a make-up class.
• Please join on time, with a grown-up nearby for younger children. Classes are for learning only; recording them is not allowed without our permission.

6. Cancelling and refunds

You can stop at any time. How refunds work — including our 14-day refund promise — is explained in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

7. V-GEMS, rewards, leaderboards and challenges

• V-GEMS are reward points for learning. They have no money value, cannot be bought, sold or exchanged for cash, and may be reset if they were earned unfairly.
• Gifts and prizes in Vimo's shop are given at V-MAT's discretion, while the offer lasts. Physical prizes are declared by the teacher for children who have truly earned them.
• Leaderboards and the Speed Challenge show a first name and initial, a country flag and a score. Monthly boards start fresh each month. We may remove names or scores that break these terms.

8. Our lessons belong to us

All V-MAT lessons, games, worksheets, videos, Vimo, pictures, designs and software are owned by V-MAT (Mr. Saji Raghav) and protected by copyright. Your family may use them for your own children's learning. You may print worksheets for your own children. You may not copy, share, sell, record, re-upload or teach from them, or try to get around the platform's protection, without our written permission.

9. Fair use

Please do not misuse the platform: no attempts to break in, scrape, cheat on challenges, upload harmful files, or behave unkindly towards other families or our teachers. We may pause an account that does, and will tell you why.

10. Keeping the service running

We work hard to keep V-MAT running, but it may sometimes be unavailable for updates or for reasons outside our control. We keep improving lessons and may change or replace them; we will not take away the core of what you paid for during a paid period.

11. Our responsibility

We provide V-MAT with reasonable care and skill. Apart from that promise, and to the extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is", and our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 6 months before it. Some states and provinces do not allow certain limits, so these may not apply to you; nothing here takes away rights your local consumer law gives you.

12. Law and disputes

Please contact us first — almost every problem is solved by a message. These terms are governed by the laws of India and the courts of Bangalore, Karnataka, but this does not take away any protection the consumer laws of your own state or province give you, or your right to use your local courts where those laws allow it.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes never apply to a period you have already paid for, and if a change matters, we tell you by e-mail first.
